A Preface for your mind...
“Somehow, the pain inside your eyes is just the beginning...”

This phrase is the start of a fiction story, in which any similarity to any actual story is merely coincidental. The album The Reason of your Conviction, is conceptual and tells the experience of an ordinary person who, after being asleep for three days and having a mind altering dream, then awakens to mental disorder and decides to completely change his perception of life, seeking new adventures and experimenting with new sensations. During this dream, voices teach him secret phrases so his life can make some sense. These phrases are incomplete and their complement must be found through the main character´s experiences. After the dream, he sees everything differently and not only he realizes that he is no longer the same person, but other people’s perception of him change too.

Now, everything makes more sense, as each act of this psychotic world is connected to those phrases from his dream and as he finds the words to finalize and give a sense to them, he realizes it’s a puzzle to be solved during an entire lifetime. In his quest to solve the puzzles he starts to believe that, for example, when one takes someone else´s life, it is possible to generate the power of the victim to oneself. His connection to his victims is no longer part of the world in which things can be explained. It gets to the point where the character feels that in order to experience things entirely and completely, he needs to live in a world distant from reality, in which all we imagine can be lived.

According to the main character, there are things that we can only feel and see when adrenaline has taken us over and made us unaware of what we’re doing – when reason opens space to emotion. This way, emotion is also part of the story, so everyone can identify with the character’s chaotic story.

Who has ever seen themselves in the shoes of a movie character? Who has ever seen themselves as an actor trying to change the end of the story? Thus, you, as a listener, have your role in the story, which is to interpret each word, each harmony, each melody, each move and each song, allowing your imagination to run free, making this story just the beginning to your world of new discoveries, whatever they might be… Challenge your mind; I’m sure you’ll surprise yourselves!

Somehow, all the scenes, thoughts and observations that go through your mind while you read this text are just the beginning...

It was still night when I heard the door slamming as happened so often in my nightmares, but this was reality. I began to realize that all my life had gone by and all I had lived was just a memory. When the door closed, I started hearing voices that told me haunting phrases that I could not get out of my mind. From this moment on, I realized I had a story to make happen and that later I would have a story to tell. When the door closed, I understood the real meaning of the sentence “And, finally, I found the peace through pain and suffering; somehow, the pain inside your eyes is just the beginning...” Throughout my life, I found out that all my acts were connected to those phrases. And now I’m ready to share it with you...
