The lyrical concept of THE REASON OF YOUR CONVICTION in a nutshell: As a few colleagues before, also the Brazilians let a serial killer do what he does best. Even musically this 3rd album became almost a killer album. Besides the excellent musicianship and album production all songs have catchy lines. "Call Me In The Name Of Death", "Everlasting Is The Salvation" and "One More Chance" would certainly belong to the best songs on the current albums from Evergrey or Symphony X, no doubt, these bands are their idols. Complex song material with sometimes surprisingly results. Fans of progressive Power Metal will certainly love this album.

LIVE: DREAM THEATER and HANGAR - Credicard Hall, SP/SP (08/03/2008)
Presentaço para as rockeiras paulistas no último dia 8, Dia Internacional da Mulher. A galera já sacou que a noite prometia quando o Hangar iniciou seu set – embora muita gente não tenha paciência com bandas de abertura (em especial fãs de Dream Theater, tidos como os mais exigentes do meio), a apresentação dos caras surpreendeu pela aceitação do público. Viam-se diversas camisetas do Hangar salpicando a multidão, sem contar que muita gente – muita gente MESMO – cantou o set inteiro junto com a banda. Além de Nando Fernandes ter um vocal simplesmente incrível, sejamos francos: não há nada melhor do que Aquiles Priester socando a bateria, preparando a galera para ver Mike Portnoy socar a bateria em seguida. Canções como Captivity e The Reason Of Your Conviction trouxeram a dose certa de peso e progressividade que os fãs adoram. Assim, a galera já estava no ponto quando o Dream Theater entrou em cena lá pelas 20h30. E vale dizer que não só não houve atraso, como a banda entrou meia hora mais cedo que o previsto – o que fez com que muita gente perdesse as duas ou três primeiras canções do set.
O repertório dos nova-iorquinos foi consideravelmente diferente do apresentado em 2005, incluindo boa parte das faixas do último álbum e também clássicos como Erotomania, Voices e Surrounded. Durante todo o show eram exibidas imagens psicodélicas em três telões, incluindo uma animação em The Dark Eternal Night que trazia, de forma bem-humorada, os membros da banda lutando contra um monstro gigante aos moldes de Cloverfield. E o que dizer sobre a performance dos músicos? Os caras estão mais entrosados a cada ano que passa, com destaque para o tecladista Jordan Rudess – mais solto do que nunca graças ao seu novo teclado-guitarra (alguém aí lembra daqueles instrumentos que eram marca registrada de grupos oitentistas? Rudess anda usando um desses para duelar com Petrucci e sua a guitarra.
Engraçadíssimo, mas tem um certo estilo).
E, como sempre, o Dream Theater deixou seus fãs extasiados, se perguntando quando é que eles voltarão pra cá. Em tempo: após o termino do show, era possível ouvir uma versão remixada de The Dark Eternal Night tocando ao fundo. Para quem ficou curioso, esse remix conta com samples de Intergalactic, dos Beastie Boys, e foi feita por um fã do Dream Theater. Remix de fã tocando após o show? Viva o prog metal! (FRP)

Hangar will appear on August´s issue of BURRN! Magazine in Japan. The new album ''The reason of your conviction'' got 8,5 from 10, getin better chart positions than Asia, Ride the Sky, Chimaira, Planet X, Steve Vai, Richie Kotzen, Sirenia, Paul Di’Anno, Stryper, etc.
Also the band got a great position on Mr. Masa Itoh [magazine supervisor] personal chart leaving behind bands like Nightwish, Scorpions and Velvet Revolver.
